Abstract
This article aims to introduce to education activists
what is meant by digital literacy, because digital literacy is only understood
to be limited to computerization and internel - what is always imagined is how
difficult it is to use a computer, even though by using a smart phone or
android, then someone has entered the digital world - which is broader than
just using a computer. Smart phones become shortcuts for people entering the
computerized world. It is hoped that this article will open the eyes of all
people, especially education activists to not immediately start - both to
participate and invite their target to digital titrate.

Literacy in the
world of education in Indonesia is becoming a hot conversation, especially
after it is connected with the digital world. Both of these things are new to
some people and some others have been done for a long time, especially since it
is a Personal Computer (PC) and is getting more exciting with the clever alias
Android phone. This is also supported by an internet network that has expanded
its reach from cities to remote villages. Actually, unconsciously, literacy has
begun to count, because without language skills it is impossible for people to
use all of this.
Language skills are
the main key to getting to know the digital world. The digital world not only
introduces English - which is the basic language of the digital world, but
introduces a language of symbols that continues to grow, so that it can also be
exploited by the illiterate and the real blind. Switching the keys with your
finger to the keyboard switches to touch or touch on a flat screen. The symbols
that are created can combine with tone - which helps everyone. Thus the digital
world becomes a learning tool for everyone.
The ability of the
digital world does not allow people to learn from texts and symbols, but also
learns with audio-visual media that can stimulate deeper learning that is not
limited by time and place, so that literacy is more exciting - as a means of
pleasing high-level thinking. In addition, digital literacy can support
students and students to study thoroughly in accordance with their growth and
development as humans.
The development of
the increasingly rapid digital world, has also helped everyone be able to bring
up the midbrain in everyone, thus the digital world becomes an infusion of a
weak human brain to be aligned with a strong brain. It is not uncommon to find
people who have the extraordinary ability to solve problems with computers
beyond the limits of their knowledge or school. Thus, the digital world becomes
a means of education of all times and lifelong education or education as long
as the most up to date.
The digital world
can be used without age, because its technical use is very easy. For those who
fail technology does not need so long to adjust to the digital world, because
it does not need to be "feared" by failure or damage. The thing that digital
literacy activists need to remember is that there is no graduation or
graduation in the digital world, only whether they want it or not.
